What is The Singapore Syllabus?
A Singapore home-tuition matching service connecting parents with experienced, MOE-aligned 1-to-1 tutors for PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IP, IB and IGCSE. Founded in August 2023 and based at Paya Lebar Square, Singapore.
Is The Singapore Syllabus a tuition agency or a tuition centre?
A home tuition agency. We match your child with a private tutor who teaches 1-to-1 at your home or online. We do not run classes.
How much does home tuition cost in Singapore?
Hourly rates for 1-to-1 home tuition run from about S$30 for a part-time undergraduate tutor at lower primary to S$150 for a former MOE teacher at IB. Primary tuition is usually S$30 to S$75 an hour, secondary S$35 to S$95 and JC S$55 to S$130. Each tutor on your shortlist shows their own rate.
Is the first lesson free?
No. You pay the tutor's hourly rate from the first lesson, which works as a trial. If the fit is wrong, we re-match at no charge.
Which subjects and levels do you cover?
Math, Science, English, Chinese and more, from PSLE through O-Level, the SEC (from 2027) and A-Level (H1/H2), plus IP, IB and IGCSE. Lessons follow the official MOE / SEAB or Cambridge syllabus for each subject.
