SEAB has not published the 2027 A-Level timetable yet. JC2 students sit it at the end of 2027: in MOE's 2027 school calendar, Term 4 for JC2 runs from 13 September to the end of the A-Level examinations. In 2026 the science practicals were in October and most written papers ran from 2 to 27 November. The results due on 19 to 23 February 2027 (tentative) are for the 2026 A-Level. MOE has not announced the release date for the 2027 results.

When is the A-Level in 2027?

SEAB publishes each year's A-Level timetable on its important dates page. On 26 October 2026 that page still covered only the 2026 exams, so no paper-by-paper date for 2027 exists yet. MOE's 2027 school calendar confirms the shape of the year: Term 4 for JC2 and MI3 students starts on Monday 13 September and runs to the end of the A-Level examinations, and their year-end holidays start when the exams end.

Until SEAB publishes 2027 dates, the 2026 timetable is the best guide to the pattern. These were the 2026 dates for the main papers.

When are the A-Level results released?

The A-Level results released in early 2027 are for the 2026 exam. MOE and SEAB list them tentatively for Friday 19 February to Tuesday 23 February 2027. SEAB notes that the actual day is confirmed only when all processes are complete and is then announced through the media.

For the 2027 A-Level, neither MOE nor SEAB has announced a results date. University admission uses the University Admission Score, which has a maximum of 70 points from 2026: Project Work is graded Pass or Fail and no longer counts, and the fourth content subject counts only if it raises the score.

What changed in H2 Computing 9569 for 2027?

The paper format stays the same: Paper 1 is a 3 hour written paper worth 100 marks and 60%, and Paper 2 is a 3 hour lab-based paper worth 100 marks and 40%. What changes is how the content is organised and the exam setup.

The content is now six modules: Programming Fundamentals, Data Structures and Algorithms, Data and Information, Computer Networks, Social, Ethical and Security Impact of Computing, and Emerging Technologies. The 2026 syllabus had four sections.
Paper 2 is taken on a laptop and still uses Python, HTML, CSS, SQLite and Flask.
The software list for Paper 2 adds JupyterLab and scikit-learn and no longer lists MongoDB or PyMongo.

No. SEAB examined 9729 for the last time in 2026. From 2027, H2 Chemistry is examined only under 9476, which was first examined in 2026. The same applies to H2 Physics (9478 replaces 9749) and H2 Biology (9477 replaces 9744).

Which A-Level syllabuses are revised for 2027?
