Tampines at a glance
Tampines is the regional centre of the East. The estate has been planned around three MRT stations (Tampines, Tampines East and Tampines West) and Our Tampines Hub, which combines the regional library, sports complex and community functions in one building. Tutors travel to your home, and the Tampines bus interchange and internal feeder routes cover the HDB blocks away from the MRT. Weekday evening and weekend slots are available for families who are home later.

I’ve tried other tuition agencies before, but TSS is definitely the one I’d recommend. The service is much better.
Honestly no regrets choosing TSS. Great tutor, great service, and the experience has been smooth from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions
Are tutors willing to come to Tampines East or Tampines North?
Yes. Tutors travel to your home anywhere in Tampines, including Tampines East, Tampines West and Tampines North. The rate is the same wherever you live in the town.
Can you find a Higher Chinese tutor for Springfield Sec students?
Higher Chinese is one of the more demanding Mother Tongue subjects. We look for tutors with a strong Chinese background, including ex-MOE Chinese teachers where available. For Higher Chinese the shortlist can take a little longer than the usual 16 hours, because fewer tutors teach it.
Can a tutor coach for the school orals at Tampines Sec, Meridian Sec, St. Hilda's Sec?
Yes. Our English tutors can coach for school-based oral assessments and the SEC English oral. The format can vary between schools, so we will ask which school your child is at when matching.
How do you match tutors with Temasek Polytechnic students?
Polytechnic tuition does come up, particularly for Engineering Math, Statistics and Chemistry modules. We look for tutors with a strong Math or Engineering background. Tell us the module and semester when you book, and the shortlist can take a little longer than the usual 16 hours because module content varies.
Is this a tuition centre in Tampines?
No. We match 1-to-1 tutors who come to your home in Tampines, so there is no travel to a centre and lessons fit around your child's timetable. If you prefer small-group classes at a centre, our home tuition and tuition centre comparison explains the differences.
