Yishun at a glance
Yishun is one of the largest residential towns in the north of Singapore, built around two North-South Line stations, Yishun (NS13) and Khatib (NS14). Yishun MRT connects directly to Northpoint City, the town's big regional mall, and to the Yishun bus interchange, while Khoo Teck Puat Hospital anchors the civic core. The town is mostly HDB. Tutors travel to your home, and the bus network running from the Yishun interchange covers HDB blocks across Yishun Ring Road and Avenue 2, 4 and 11.

Frequently asked questions
Will tutors travel all the way up to Yishun and Khatib?
Yes. Tutors travel to your home anywhere in Yishun, including Khatib and blocks across Yishun Ring Road and Avenue 2, 4 and 11. The rate is the same wherever you live in the town.
Can you find a tutor who knows Chongfu School and Chung Cheng High (Yishun)?
We look for tutors who know the PSLE and O-Level Math and Chinese syllabus, including ex-MOE Chinese teachers for Higher Chinese where available. For Higher Chinese specifically, the shortlist can take a little longer than the usual 16 hours that is typical for English, Math and Science.
How far ahead do I need to book a tutor in Yishun?
For English, Math and Science, plan on a shortlist of 2 to 4 tutor profiles within 16 hours and a first lesson usually within 5 to 10 days. For Higher Chinese and JC H2 subjects the shortlist can take a bit longer. Weekday 4 to 6pm and weekend mornings are popular slots, especially in the weeks before school tests and year-end exams. If your child has fixed CCAs at Chongfu, Chung Cheng or one of the Yishun secondary schools, share the timetable early so we can work around it, though narrow windows will take a few extra days to fill.
Which subjects do Yishun families usually ask for?
At primary level, common requests are PSLE Math and Science, and Chinese and Higher Chinese. At secondary level, families often ask for A-Math, E-Math, Pure Chemistry and Combined Science. English oral and comprehension help is also common through upper primary and lower secondary. At JC level, H2 Math is a common request, especially before promotional exams, prelims and the A-Levels.
Is this a tuition centre in Yishun?
No. We match 1-to-1 tutors who come to your home in Yishun, so there is no travel to a centre and lessons fit around your child's timetable. If you prefer small-group classes at a centre, our home tuition and tuition centre comparison explains the differences.
