Questions parents ask
Are these PSLE prelim papers free?
Yes. Every paper is free. Enter your email and mobile once and every paper on this site then downloads straight away on that device.
Do the papers come with answers?
45 of the 48 papers come with answers, as a separate PDF so your child can try the paper first. Some are the school's own answer key. Others were typed by an unofficial source, and the paper's page says so because we have not checked them. Henry Park, Pei Chun, Red Swastika have no answers yet.
Are 2024 P6 prelim papers still useful for the PSLE in 2027?
Yes, for most questions. From 2026 the PSLE Mathematics paper follows the 2021 syllabus, which no longer tests speed, and each 2024 paper's page lists the speed questions to skip. The timing changed too. A 2024 paper has 45 marks in Paper 1 (1 hour) and 55 in Paper 2 (1 hour 30 minutes). From 2026 each paper has 50 marks, with 1 hour 10 minutes for Paper 1 and 1 hour 20 minutes for Paper 2.
What is a prelim paper?
The preliminary examination is the practice PSLE that each primary school sets for P6 pupils, usually in August, before the PSLE written papers. It follows the PSLE format of its year, so it is the closest practice to the real exam.
What are WA1, WA2, WA3 and EOY papers?
Weighted Assessments (WA1, WA2 and WA3) are short tests that schools set during the year on the topics just taught. The End-of-Year (EOY) exam covers the whole year's work and is the best practice for the P5 end-of-year paper.
How should my child use a prelim paper?
Do the whole paper in one sitting under exam conditions, with no calculator for Paper 1 and the times printed on the paper. Mark it with the answers file, then redo every wrong question a few days later. The topic list on each paper's page shows what the paper tests.
