Terms and Conditions for The Singapore Syllabus

These terms cover your use of thesingaporesyllabus.com and the tutor matching service run by The Singapore Syllabus ("TSS", "we"), 60 Paya Lebar Road, #07-54 Paya Lebar Square, Singapore. By using the website or asking us to find a tutor, you agree to these terms.

1. What we do
We match families in Singapore with private tutors for home and online lessons. Tutors are independent and are not our employees. Each tutor is responsible for the lessons they teach.

2. Shortlists and rates
When you send a request, we send you a shortlist of tutor profiles with an hourly rate for each. The rate on the shortlist is the rate you pay for lessons with that tutor, unless you and we agree a change in writing.

3. Lessons and payment
Lesson times are arranged between you and the tutor. Lessons are invoiced as set out on your invoice. The first lesson is a paid trial at the tutor's agreed hourly rate.

4. Re-match
If the tutor is not the right fit, tell us and we will look for another tutor at no extra charge.

5. Information on this website
Our guides explain the Singapore syllabus, exams and admissions in good faith and are checked against MOE and SEAB sources. Rules change, so confirm important dates and criteria on moe.gov.sg or seab.gov.sg. Website content is general information and is not a promise of any result.

6. Using the website
Give us accurate information, and do not misuse the website, for example by scraping it, sending spam or trying to break its security.

7. Intellectual property
The website's text, design and materials belong to TSS or its licensors. You may share links and quote short passages with credit to The Singapore Syllabus.

8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, TSS is not liable for indirect losses, or for the acts of a tutor outside the services we provide. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Singapore law.

9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.

10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
