Online Tuition in Singapore

Online tuition removes travel time for both tutor and student, which widens the pool of specialist tutors a family can reach — especially for harder-to-source subjects (H2 Further Math, IB HL Chemistry, Higher Mother Tongue). With a writing tablet and screen-share, online 1-to-1 works well for explaining mechanisms, derivations and worked solutions; many families mix online and in-home week to week.

In a sentence

We match Singapore families with experienced, MOE-aligned 1-to-1 tutors for online lessons over Zoom or Google Meet — across PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IP, IB and IGCSE — at the same hourly rate as in-person home tuition, with no agency fee and a free re-match if the fit is wrong.

When online tuition works best

Online suits content-heavy explanation (Math derivations, Science mechanisms), revision and past-paper marking, busy schedules where commute time is the constraint, and specialist subjects where the right tutor isn't nearby. For young primary students or where hands-on supervision matters more, in-home is often the better fit — and we'll say so honestly.

How online lessons run

Lessons run over Zoom or Google Meet with screen-share and a writing tablet or document camera, so working is visible both ways. Tutors share notes and worked solutions digitally, and the same weekly progress notes apply. The hourly rate is identical to in-home tuition — you're paying for the tutor's time, not the travel.

Frequently asked questions

Does online tuition cost less than in-person?

No — the rate is the same. You're paying for the tutor's teaching time, not their travel. The difference is convenience and reach, not price. Parents pay no agency fee either way.

Which levels work well online?

All of them, with judgement. Secondary, JC, IB and IGCSE work especially well online for explanation and past-paper review. For lower primary or where hands-on supervision matters, in-home is often better — we'll advise honestly.

What do online lessons use?

Zoom or Google Meet with screen-share plus a writing tablet or document camera, so working is visible both ways. Tutors share notes and solutions digitally and send the same weekly progress updates.
