Frequently asked questions
Do you have NUS High School specialists for Jurong East students?
Yes, though the pool is small. NUS High, in nearby Clementi, runs its own six-year diploma curriculum, examined by the school. We look for tutors who know this curriculum, such as NUS High alumni studying Math, Physics or Engineering. Contacting us a few weeks before the term helps.
Can a tutor coach for Jurong Pioneer JC H2 subjects?
Yes. Jurong Pioneer JC is nearby in Choa Chu Kang. Common requests are H2 Math, H2 Chemistry and H2 Physics. We look for tutors with a strong Math, Engineering or Science background. Saturday mornings and weekday evenings from 7 to 9pm usually suit the JC schedule.
Do you offer IB tuition in Jurong East?
Yes. We cover IB DP and MYP tuition for students at international schools. We can look for tutors for HL Math, HL Chemistry, HL Physics and HL Biology. IB rates are $60 to $150/hour, and the final rate depends on the tutor type, the level and how often lessons run.
Are tutors willing to take lessons at Lakeside or Chinese Garden landed addresses?
Yes. Lakeside MRT and Chinese Garden MRT serve the HDB and condominium clusters west of Jurong East. Tutors travel to your home, including landed homes along Yuan Ching Road, and the rate is the same wherever you live.
Is this a tuition centre in Jurong East?
No. We match 1-to-1 tutors who come to your home in Jurong East, so there is no travel to a centre and lessons fit around your child's timetable. If you prefer small-group classes at a centre, our home tuition and tuition centre comparison explains the differences.
