Secondary 1 Science Tuition: a guide for parents
Secondary 1 Science is a big step from PSLE Science. Lower secondary Science introduces models that explain what cannot be seen: the particle model of matter, elements, compounds and mixtures and how to separate them, cells as the unit of life, and early physics on forces, energy and light. Answers need definitions, units and simple calculations, and the practical work asks students to plan and record experiments properly. Under Full Subject-Based Banding, Science is taken at G1, G2 or G3, and the content and pace differ by level.
