Science marks are lost to imprecise wording far more often than to missing knowledge, so that is the skill to pay for.
Why 2027 changes the question
From 2027 the O-Level gives way to the Singapore-Cambridge SEC. The science content carries across, but your child will take Pure Sciences (offered at G3 only) or Combined Science (offered at G2 and G3), and the certificate records the level. G1 has its own Science subject. A good tutor should know which paper your child is sitting and teach to it.
