Best Tuition Centres in Bukit Batok, Singapore (2027): 10 Compared

Written and reviewed by Theon Teo, Founder · editorial policy

Ten tuition centres in Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak, from West Mall and Bukit Batok Central to Bukit Gombak MRT and Le Quest, compared on published fees, cost per hour, class size, address, nearest MRT and trial terms. Every fact read from each centre's own site on 8 Nov 2026.

The best tuition centre in Bukit Batok is the one that fits your child's subject, level and trip home. From what each centre publishes, Math Academy, opposite Bukit Gombak MRT, suits Sec and JC Maths in classes of 7 to 9. Maths Hub in Bukit Batok East has the lowest published fee per hour, for primary problem sums and olympiad Maths. Lil' but Mighty on Bukit Batok Central suits English in groups of at most 6. HAO and Tien Hsia suit Chinese. Singapore Learner suits H1 and H2 Biology, Mind Stretcher publishes one clear monthly fee across three local branches, and Aspire Hub at West Mall covers the widest subject list up to JC.

No centre paid to appear here, and the order below is alphabetical, not a ranking. We are a home tuition agency, so these centres are an alternative to what we offer. That is why every fact comes from the centre's own website, with the source and date in our research notes. For a single subject across all of Singapore, see our guides to the best H2 Maths tuition centres and the best PSLE Chinese tuition centres.

How we chose these centres

We started from the centres that rank on Google Singapore for "tuition centre bukit batok", "bukit batok tuition", "west mall tuition centre" and "bukit gombak tuition", plus those named on the top local lists. A centre made the list if it met these tests:

  • It has a branch in Bukit Batok or Bukit Gombak, with an address on its own website.
  • It publishes its programme, so a parent can check levels and subjects before calling.
  • It covers a different need, level or price from the others. Together the 10 span primary, secondary and JC, plus English and Chinese.
  • It has active classes or a current timetable on its site.

All facts were checked on 8 November 2026. Fees change, so confirm the figure with the centre before you enrol. Where a centre does not publish something, we say "not published". The nearest MRT is the centre's own wording where it gives one. Where it does not, we name the closest station from a map check of the postcode on OneMap and say so.

The comparison table

The per-hour figure is our estimate, worked out from the published fee and the published lesson length. It leaves out registration, deposits, materials and GST unless the centre includes them, and each centre's section lists those costs.

A centre beside Bukit Batok or Bukit Gombak MRT is easy to reach after school, and a good class gives a child steady practice with peers. A 1-to-1 tutor makes more sense when the gap is narrow and specific, such as A Math proofs or Science answers that miss keywords, or when a child already has two CCAs. Online classes, such as those at Math Academy, Lil' but Mighty and Maths Hub, save the trip but need a child who can focus on a screen. How to choose

  1. Name the gapRead your child's last few tests. Is it a whole subject, one topic, or exam technique? A Chinese class and a Maths centre solve different problems.
  2. Check the class sizeA child who goes quiet in a big class often does better with 6 or fewer. Ask the number in the class your child would join, not the centre's average.
  3. Work out the cost per hourDivide the monthly or term fee by the hours of class. Add registration, deposit, materials and GST for the first month.
  4. Keep the trip shortA centre on your child's way home is easier to keep up for a whole year. Here, check whether it is at Bukit Batok MRT, Bukit Gombak MRT or a bus ride away in Bukit Batok East or West.
  5. Book a trial and judge itUse the checklist below, then decide within a week.

At the trial, check that:

  • your child is given a question to try before the teacher shows the answer
  • the teacher explains why an answer loses marks, not just what the right answer is
  • the class works from your child's school syllabus and level, such as Standard or Higher Chinese, or G2 or G3
  • you hear specific feedback afterwards, not just "doing well"
  • your child comes out willing to go back next week.
