Luke

Hello! I am Luke, an undergraduate tutor with a year of tutoring experience, currently studying Economics at NUS. I attained A grades in A-Level H2 Economics, H1 General Paper, PSLE English and Mathematics. I offer tuition in JC-level Economics and Primary-level English and Mathematics. I understand how daunting Economics can be, especially for JC students encountering it for the first time, and I was once in their shoes. Thanks to my tutor's patient guidance, I came to appreciate Economics' logical flow, which eventually inspired me to pursue it as my university major. I hope to help my students experience that same breakthrough! My teaching style is patient, student-centric and focused on strong fundamentals. I aim to simplify complex concepts, build understanding step by step, and equip students with the confidence to tackle challenging questions independently. Beyond academics, I am passionate about mentorship, having previously mentored primary school students through my church's tuition programme. I hope to be more than just a tutor, someone who journeys alongside my students, celebrates their progress and helps them discover the joy of learning!
