Best PSLE Maths Tuition Centres in Singapore (2027): 10 Compared

Written and reviewed by Theon Teo, Founder · editorial policy

Ten PSLE Maths tuition centres in Singapore, compared side by side on published fees, our cost per hour estimate, class size, branches, trial terms and Google rating. Every fact was read from each centre's own website on 7 November 2026, with what the 2026 PSLE Maths paper actually tests.

The best PSLE Maths tuition centre is the one that matches your child's gap, budget and travel time. From what each centre publishes, NickleBee Tutors fits a child already scoring AL3 or better who wants AL1 stretch. Concept Math fits a child who needs model drawing and heuristics taught step by step. The Math Lab and MasterMaths both suit a child who is struggling, through very small groups or a Foundation class with a weekly booster. Odyssey Math Tuition near Eunos suits the east, and CalibreMath in Bukit Panjang has the lowest published fee per hour in our estimate.

No centre paid to appear here, and the order below is alphabetical, not a ranking. We are a home tuition agency, so these centres are an alternative to what we offer. That is why every fact comes from the centre's own website or its Google listing, with the source and date in our research notes.

How we chose these centres

We started from the centres that rank on Google Singapore for "psle maths tuition centre" and similar searches, plus those named by the top listicles. A centre made the list if it met these tests:

  • It teaches PSLE Maths as a core programme, either as a maths specialist or with a dedicated P5 and P6 Maths class.
  • It publishes its programme on its own website, so a parent can check levels, method and branches before calling.
  • It has active branches with addresses on its site, or a clear online option.
  • It has recent Google reviews on at least one branch listing, where one exists.

Two centres on a well-known rival list, Nanyang Educational Consultancy and The Eton Academy, were left out because we could not find and verify an official website for either today. We added MasterMaths and Odyssey Math Tuition in their place, both PSLE Maths specialists with fees on their own sites.

All facts were checked on 7 November 2026. Fees change, so confirm the figure with the centre before you enrol. Where a centre does not publish something, we say "not published".

The comparison table

The per-hour figure is our estimate, worked out from the published fee and the published lesson length. It ignores registration, deposits and materials, which are listed in each centre's section.

The 10 centres in detail

CalibreMath Learning Centre

What is distinctive. A single-branch maths specialist that teaches through two-way discussion, with teachers acting as facilitators. Its upper primary page names its own strategies for P5 and P6 word problems and puts weight on visual topics such as angles, circles, pie charts and nets. Lessons can be physical, online or hybrid.

Who it suits. A child in the west who learns well by talking through problems, and families watching cost. Who it may not suit. A child who needs to try a class first, since the centre says it does not run trial classes.

Fees as published. S$220 for every 4 lessons. Its 2025 primary schedule shows 2-hour classes, so our estimate is S$27.50 an hour. Registration and deposit are not published.

Branch. Blk 434 Bukit Panjang Ring Road, Ground Level RC Classroom. Nearest MRT or LRT is not stated by the centre.

Website. calibremath.com. Phone +65 9672 3540.

Questions to ask. Is the 2026 or 2027 timetable still 2 hours a lesson? How many children are in the P6 class this year? What does the paper review cover, and who reads it?

Concept Math

What is distinctive. A primary-only maths specialist with its own S.M.A.R.T. approach (Simplify, Model, Analyse, Resolve, Test). P5 lessons stress advanced model drawing and heuristics, and P6 lessons focus on exam technique, time management, mock exams and error analysis. The centre states that teachers are MOE-registered and that parents get a short debrief after each lesson. Students can replay lessons online.

Who it suits. A child who needs the bar model and heuristics broken into steps, and parents who want regular feedback. Who it may not suit. Families who want a fixed class size in writing, since it is not published.

Fees as published. P5 from S$85 and P6 from S$90 a lesson. Its 2026 timetable shows P5 and P6 lessons of 1 h 45 min, so our estimate is about S$49 an hour for P5 and S$51 for P6. Registration and deposit are not published.

Branches. Novena (Goldhill Plaza, near Novena MRT), Bukit Timah (Beauty World Centre, near Beauty World MRT), Parkway Parade (Office Tower, near Marine Parade MRT) and Jurong (JTC Summit, near Jurong East MRT).

Website. conceptmath.com. Phone 6255 6335.

Questions to ask. Is the trial lesson charged? What does "from S$90" become for my child's slot? How many children are in the class?

EduFirst Learning Centre

What is distinctive. A large multi-subject chain with 28 outlets, many beside an MRT or LRT station. Its maths page describes heuristic problem solving, worksheets, mock exams, timed practice and past-year questions, and its 2027 rate card lists materials and exam papers at no extra charge.

Who it suits. A family that wants a branch close to home and may add English, Chinese or Science at a lower second-subject rate. Who it may not suit. A parent looking for a maths-only specialist.

Fees as published. S$240 a month for P5 or P6 for the first subject, based on 4 sessions a month, subject to GST. Its timetable shows 1 h 30 min sessions, so our estimate is S$40 an hour. On joining, it asks for a S$50 registration fee, the first month's fees and one month's deposit.

Branches. 28, including Ang Mo Kio (near Ang Mo Kio MRT), Clementi (near Clementi MRT), Tampines (near Tampines MRT), Toa Payoh (near Toa Payoh MRT), Woodlands (near Admiralty MRT) and Yishun (Northpoint City, linked to Yishun MRT).

Website. edufirst.com.sg. Phone +65 9106 7716.

Questions to ask. How many children are in the P6 Maths class at my branch? Who teaches it, and for how long have they taught PSLE? What are the terms of the trial class?

Keynote Learning

What is distinctive. A single centre in Ang Mo Kio teaching Maths from P5 to Sec 4, with 2-hour weekly classes, a WhatsApp group linking parents, students and tutors, and an online resource library. Its P6 outline includes algebra, circles, pie charts, volume, PSLE topical revision and a specimen paper.

Who it suits. A self-motivated child in the north-east who is comfortable in a larger class. Who it may not suit. A child who needs close attention, since the primary page allows up to 13 regular students plus 3 online.

Fees as published. S$315 a month for P5 or P6, based on a 4-week month, so our estimate is about S$39 an hour. A S$50 registration fee (non-refundable) and a S$250 security deposit (refundable) apply.

Branch. 727 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, #02-4264. Nearest MRT is not stated by the centre.

Website. keynotelearning.com. Phone +65 8181 6687.

Questions to ask. Does the trial price on WhatsApp apply to Maths? How many children are in the P6 class now? Is the class online, in person or both?

Kumon

What is distinctive. A worksheet programme, not a PSLE class. Its maths programme has 20 levels from 6A to O and, by its own description, focuses on strong calculation skills worked on independently. Children are expected to do daily homework.

Who it suits. A younger child, or one who loses marks on Paper 1 arithmetic, who needs speed and accuracy without a calculator. Who it may not suit. A P6 child who needs PSLE word problems and heuristics taught, since the programme is built around calculation.

Fees as published. S$170 a month and a one-time S$50 registration fee, both including GST. Session length and visits a week are not published, so we cannot estimate an hourly cost.

Branches. Over 80 centres in Singapore. Use its centre finder for the nearest one.

Website. sg.kumonglobal.com.

Questions to ask. How many visits a week, and how long is each one? How much homework will my child do each day? At what level will my child start after the assessment?

MasterMaths

What is distinctive. A maths specialist that runs separate PSLE Standard and PSLE Foundation classes. P6 lessons are 90 minutes a week, with a complimentary 60-minute booster lesson each week, termly tests, timed Paper 1 and Paper 2 practice and lesson recordings. Classes can be attended in person or online.

Who it suits. A child who is behind and needs more contact time, or a child taking Foundation Maths. Who it may not suit. Families who want a stated class size, since it is not published.

Fees as published. S$275 a month for 4 lessons, with a fifth lesson in a month at no extra charge. Our estimate is about S$46 an hour for the 90-minute lessons alone, or about S$27.50 if your child also attends every booster. There is no deposit or registration fee, and a one-time S$50 material fee.

Branches. Farrer Park (near Little India MRT), Tampines (near Tampines East MRT), Woodlands (near Admiralty MRT), Jurong East (near Chinese Garden MRT) and Bedok (near Bedok MRT, listed on its home page). Online classes also run.

Website. mastermaths.com.sg. WhatsApp +65 8338 9576.

Questions to ask. How many children are in my child's class? Who teaches the booster lesson? How long are recordings kept?

NickleBee Tutors

What is distinctive. An upper primary maths specialist with its own C3PO problem solving framework and UNITARY method. Small-group classes are capped at 4 students. Its Advanced PSLE Math Masterclass, capped at 8, is for P5 students who consistently score 80% or more in school and want AL1. The centre states that 92% of its Advanced Math students scored AL1 in 2025.

Who it suits. A strong child aiming for AL1, DSA or Olympiad Maths. Who it may not suit. A child who is struggling, since the masterclass sets an entry bar, and families who want a trial, since the centre says it cannot offer one. Several AY 2027 classes are listed as full.

Fees as published. Small group S$275 per 2-hour class (S$2,750 for a 10-lesson term). Masterclass S$220 per 2-hour class (S$2,200 a term). Our estimate is S$137.50 and S$110 an hour. New students pay a S$100 admin fee. Fees are collected quarterly.

Branches. Bishan (260 Bishan Street 22), Bukit Timah (Dunearn Village, 896 Dunearn Road) and Sengkang (212 Compassvale Drive). The masterclass runs at Bukit Timah only for AY 2027. Nearest MRT is not stated by the centre.

Website. nicklebeetutors.com. WhatsApp 9188 4710.

Questions to ask. Is there a waiting list for my child's level? How is the 92% figure counted? What happens if my child falls behind the masterclass pace?

Odyssey Math Tuition

What is distinctive. A small maths centre near Eunos with its own curriculum written by its founder, Justin Tan (NUS Mathematics, teaching since 2012). Lessons stress model drawing, fractions and word problems, with worksheets, quizzes, recorded lessons and an e-learning portal between classes.

Who it suits. A family in the east who wants a low fee and no joining costs. Who it may not suit. A child who wants 1-to-1 lessons, which the centre says it does not offer, or one outside the east, since it has one branch.

Fees as published. S$260 a month for 4 classes of 2 hours, so our estimate is S$32.50 an hour. The centre states there are no deposit, registration or material fees. Fees are paid termly in advance and are non-refundable.

Branch. Hexacube, 160 Changi Road #01-02, about 3 minutes from Eunos MRT by its own description.

Website. odysseymathtuition.com. WhatsApp +65 8512 6882.

Questions to ask. How many children are in the P6 class? What is the termly amount I pay up front? Who teaches if the founder is away?

The Math Lab

What is distinctive. A maths-only centre whose small groups average 3 to 4 students, with the teacher rotating between children at the table. The centre states its teachers are full-time and MOE-registered, and it also runs a larger lecture group and a 5-day PSLE bootcamp in the holidays.

Who it suits. A struggling child who needs close attention at a centre, and parents who want an easy exit, since the first month works as a trial. Who it may not suit. Families on a tight budget, as it has the highest monthly fee among the regular classes here.

Fees as published. S$420 a month for a weekly 2-hour class, collected per 8-lesson cycle (S$840). Our estimate is S$52.50 an hour. New students pay S$40 registration and S$60 materials, and there is no deposit. In the first month you can stop at any time, with unused fees, registration and materials refunded.

Branches. Bukit Timah (near Farrer Road MRT), Kovan (near Kovan MRT), Tiong Bahru (near Tiong Bahru MRT) and Bedok (near Bedok MRT).

Website. themathlab.com.sg. Phone 6475 0624.

Questions to ask. Is my child's slot a small group or a lecture group? How many children are in that class now? How does the teacher track progress between lessons?

Zenith Education Studio

What is distinctive. A multi-subject group with 14 centres and P4 to P6 Maths. P6 lessons are 2 hours a week, with extra holiday lessons before major exams, and the centre names its P6 Maths teachers and their start years on its site. Materials include notes, past-year questions and an online learning system.

Who it suits. A family that wants Maths and Science at the same centre, close to home. Who it may not suit. A child who needs 1-to-1 help, which its P6 page says it does not offer.

Fees as published. S$320 a month for one subject before GST (S$80 a lesson), billed monthly including school and public holidays. Our estimate is S$40 an hour before GST. A one-time deposit of S$320 per subject applies, with no material or registration fee.

Branches. Bishan, Bukit Panjang, Bukit Timah, Buona Vista, Jurong East, Jurong Point, King Albert Park, Kovan, Marymount, Paya Lebar, Potong Pasir, Serangoon, Tampines and Woodlands.

Website. zenitheducationstudio.com. Phone +65 8768 7651.

Questions to ask. How many children are in the P6 Maths class at my branch? Which teacher takes it? How are holiday lessons charged?

What the exam actually tests

PSLE Maths follows SEAB's syllabus 0008, revised for examination from 2026. It assesses the MOE 2021 Primary Mathematics syllabus, which applies to P6 from 2026. Our PSLE Mathematics subject page sets out the topics level by level.

PaperBooklet and item typeQuestionsMarksTimeCalculator
Paper 1A: multiple choice, 1 mark10101 h 10 minNot allowed
Paper 1A: multiple choice, 2 marks816(same paper)Not allowed
Paper 1B: short answer, 2 marks1224(same paper)Not allowed
Paper 2Short answer, 2 marks5101 h 20 minAllowed
Paper 2Structured or long answer, 3 to 5 marks1040(same paper)Allowed
Total451002 h 30 min

Both papers are sat on the same day with a break between them. In 2026 they were on Friday 25 September. SEAB has not yet published the 2027 dates.

Three marking rules shape how a good centre should teach:

  • Method marks. In a one-part short-answer question, a wrong answer can still earn 1 of the 2 marks for a correct method. In long-answer questions, working must be shown clearly.
  • Units are given. The answer must be written in the unit printed on the paper.
  • Three skills. SEAB tests recall and straightforward computation (AO1), applying concepts in context (AO2) and reasoning to choose a strategy (AO3). The last is where heuristics come in. Our guide to PSLE Maths heuristics shows each one with an example.

P6 content in the MOE syllabus covers dividing fractions, percentage increase and decrease, ratio, simple algebra, area and circumference of circles, volume of cubes and cuboids, angles in composite figures and average. Much of Paper 2 builds on P5 work on fractions, percentage, rate, area of triangles and angles, so a centre that skips P5 gaps costs marks later. The bar model sits underneath most ratio and fraction questions, explained in our Singapore math method and bar model guide. For a plan to reach the top band, see how to score AL1 in PSLE Maths.

Online classes, such as the online options at CalibreMath and MasterMaths, save travel but need a child who can focus on a screen. A centre gives your child classmates working on the same paper. A home tutor gives them someone who stays on one weak topic until it is fixed. For a wider look at centres across subjects, see our best tuition centres in Singapore guide.

How to choose

  1. Find the gap firstLook at your child's last two school papers. Is it careless arithmetic in Paper 1, or long questions in Paper 2? A calculation programme and a heuristics class solve different problems.
  2. Set a budget per hourDivide the monthly fee by the hours of class. Add registration, deposit and materials for the first month.
  3. Shortlist by travelA 20-minute trip each way adds up over a P6 year. Use the area table above.
  4. Book a trial or ask for the exit termsWhere no trial runs, ask what happens if you stop after the first month.
  5. Judge the trialUse the checklist below, then decide within a week.

At the trial, check that:

  • the teacher asks your child to attempt a question before explaining it
  • working is written out in full, so method marks are not lost
  • a second explanation is ready when the first one does not land
  • the class has a clear plan for the term, with timed papers as PSLE nears
  • you hear specific feedback afterwards, not just "doing well".

Common questions

What is the best PSLE Maths tuition centre in Singapore?

There is no official ranking. From published facts, NickleBee Tutors suits strong students aiming for AL1, Concept Math suits children who need heuristics taught step by step, and The Math Lab and MasterMaths suit children who are struggling.

How much does PSLE Maths tuition at a centre cost?

Published P5 and P6 group fees range from S$220 for 4 lessons to S$420 a month, about S$27.50 to S$52.50 an hour in our estimates. One advanced programme costs S$220 to S$275 for a 2-hour class.

What is a good class size for PSLE Maths?

Smaller groups give each child more of the teacher's time. Among these centres, published sizes range from an average of 3 to 4 students to 13 regular students.

When should my child start PSLE Maths tuition?

Start when a gap shows, ideally in P5. Ratio, percentage and fractions are built in P5 and tested hard in P6, so P5 gaps are cheaper to fix early.

Can I use a calculator in PSLE Maths?

Only in Paper 2. Paper 1, which is 50 marks over 1 h 10 min, does not allow a calculator.

Do these centres offer trial lessons?

Some do. Zenith, EduFirst, MasterMaths and Odyssey offer a first class at no charge, The Math Lab refunds unused fees in the first month, and NickleBee and CalibreMath say they do not run trial lessons.

Is Kumon good for PSLE Maths?

Kumon builds calculation speed and accuracy through daily worksheets, which helps with Paper 1. It is not a PSLE word-problem class, so a child weak in heuristics may need more.

Is a centre or a home tutor better for PSLE Maths?

A centre suits a child who is broadly on track and wants structure. A home tutor suits a child with specific gaps who needs one person working at their pace.

How do I check a centre's results claims?

Ask how many students sat the PSLE, how many were counted and where they started. A percentage means little without those numbers.
