Best Tuition Centres in Punggol (2027): 10 Compared by Fee and Station

Written and reviewed by Theon Teo, Founder · editorial policy

Ten tuition centres with a branch in Punggol, from Waterway Point and Punggol Plaza to Oasis Terraces and Northshore: published fees turned into a cost per hour, class sizes, trial terms, the nearest station and questions to ask, plus the schools and MRT and LRT stops in town.

The best tuition centre in Punggol depends on your child's level and need. For the lowest published primary fee, EduFirst charges S$200 a month for P1 and P2 at SAFRA Punggol and Punggol East, about S$33 an hour, and Mind Stretcher charges S$250.70 a month for lower primary at four Punggol centres. For the smallest classes, eduKate Punggol teaches groups of 3 beside Waterway Point, and Super Physics caps its JC and O Level Physics groups at 3 near Punggol Coast MRT. For JC sciences right at Punggol MRT, Stalford runs classes from preschool to JC at Waterway Point. For Chinese, Hua Cheng has branches at Oasis Terraces and One Punggol. For writing, Write Edge sits at Exit D of Punggol MRT, and Learning Journey teaches English from preschool to GP in Punggol East.

Centres quote fees per month, per lesson, per term or per hour, and lesson lengths run from 1.5 to 2 hours. This guide lists each fee as published, then works out a comparable cost per hour where the lesson length is published. Where a centre does not publish something, we say "not published" rather than guess.

How we chose these centres

We searched Google for "tuition centre punggol", "punggol tuition", "waterway point tuition centre", "maths tuition punggol" and "english tuition punggol", and noted the centres that rank and the ones other Punggol lists name. We kept the centres that meet all four tests below.

  1. A branch in PunggolThe centre lists a current address in Punggol on its own website, from Waterway Point and Punggol Plaza to Oasis Terraces, SAFRA Punggol, Punggol East and Northshore.
  2. Publishes its programmeIts website shows the levels and subjects, and at least one of fees, class size, lesson length or teachers.
  3. Active for 2027It lists a current branch, a 2027 timetable or 2027 fees.
  4. A spread of levels and subjectsTogether, the 10 cover primary, secondary and JC, plus a Chinese centre, a writing centre and an English specialist.

All facts were checked on 8 November 2026. Fees often change in January, so confirm the current figure before you pay. No centre paid to appear here. The detail section is in alphabetical order, not a ranking.

The 10 Punggol tuition centres compared

The per-hour figure is our own estimate. We divided the published fee by the published lesson hours. Where a centre does not publish its fee or lesson length, we could not work it out.

Suits: a child who needs close attention but still likes working beside one or two classmates. May not suit: a family that wants a fixed fee and a named teacher up front, since neither is published for 2027.

Fees as published: current fees are not published. Its English page still shows indicative monthly ranges labelled 2023/2024, so ask for the 2027 figure. Trial lessons may be offered, depending on space in a group of 3.

Punggol branch: 83 Punggol Central, Singapore 828761. The centre says it is 3 to 5 minutes from Punggol MRT, beside Waterway Point. Open weekdays 3pm to 9pm and weekends 10am to 6pm.

Tuition in Punggol

Stations. Punggol has two North East Line stations. Punggol MRT (NE17) is the town centre interchange with the Punggol LRT, and Punggol Coast MRT opened on 10 December 2024 as the new end of the line, in the Punggol Digital District beside the SIT campus. The LRT runs two loops from Punggol MRT. The East loop serves Cove, Meridian, Coral Edge, Riviera, Kadaloor, Oasis and Damai. The West loop serves Sam Kee, Teck Lee, Punggol Point, Samudera, Nibong, Sumang and Soo Teck.

Where centres cluster. Waterway Point and the blocks along Punggol Central sit on top of Punggol MRT, which is why four centres in this list are there. Punggol Plaza by Coral Edge LRT and Oasis Terraces by Oasis LRT are the next hubs. SAFRA Punggol (Sam Kee LRT) and One Punggol Community Club host several centres, and Northshore and Punggol Coast Mall serve the newer northern estates.

Schools in town. MOE's school list on data.gov.sg places these schools in Punggol:

How to choose a tuition centre in Punggol

  1. Start from the gapLook at the last school test. Is it one subject, writing, or several subjects? A single-subject specialist suits one gap, and a multi-subject centre suits several.
  2. Pick the hub you can reachChoose a centre on your LRT loop or at Punggol MRT, so the trip does not eat into homework time.
  3. Compare cost per hourTurn every quote into a cost per hour and add GST, registration and deposit. Our table does this where the lesson length is published.
  4. Check the class size for your slotAsk for the number in the exact class your child would join, not the average or the cap.
  5. Book one trialSome centres charge for the trial and some do not. Ask before you go.
  6. Review after a monthCompare the next school test with the last. If nothing has moved after 6 to 8 lessons, ask for a plan or switch.

Trial-lesson checklist

  • Who teaches this class for the whole year, and who covers if they are away?
  • How many students are in this slot, and are they at the same level and track?
  • Is the material matched to your child's school and the 2027 syllabus?
  • Is homework marked with written feedback, not only ticks?
  • How are questions handled between lessons?
  • What does a missed lesson cost, and is there a replacement class at another Punggol branch?
  • Is the fee before or after GST, and what notice is needed to stop?
