Christin

I am an Information Systems undergraduate at SMU, and I have been tutoring for 5 years. I teach Upper Secondary E-Math, A-Math, Physics and Chemistry to Sec 3 and Sec 4 students.

Qualifications

• Information Systems undergraduate, Singapore Management University (SMU)
• A1 for A-Math, E-Math, Pure Physics and Pure Chemistry
• Went through the O-Level and JC system myself before university

How I teach

I sat the same exams my students are preparing for, so I understand both the academic demands and the pressure that comes with them. I plan my lessons to work on both exam performance and confidence.

My lessons follow the school syllabus closely. I start by clearing doubts from school homework and notes. Then we build depth through topical TYS practice, worksheets I prepare on common exam traps, and repeated application of key concepts. During exam periods, I make topical cheat sheets together with my students to pull formulas, definitions and typical question types into one place for quick recall.

I also run intensive crash courses and last-minute revision for Sec 4 Math and Science, with a focus on handling application questions and doing yearly practice papers rather than memorising notes.

Subjects and levels

I teach E-Math, A-Math, Physics and Chemistry (Pure and Combined) for Sec 3 and Sec 4.
