The A-Math exam these papers prepare for
The papers were set for O-Level Additional Mathematics (4049) in 2026 and SEC G3 Additional Mathematics (K341) from 2027. SEAB's scheme of assessment is the same for both years:
| Paper | Questions | Time | Marks | Weighting |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paper 1 | 12 to 14, up to 10 marks each | 2 h 15 min | 90 | 50% |
| Paper 2 | 9 to 11, up to 12 marks each | 2 h 15 min | 90 | 50% |
A calculator is allowed in both papers, and the exam prints a list of formulae. SEAB writes that the syllabus assumes the E-Math content and prepares students for A-Level H2 Mathematics.

Which topics do these papers test most?
Counted from the topics listed on each paper's page: how many papers test each topic. A topic that shows up in most papers is worth revising first.

| Exponential and logarithmic functions | 26 of 29 |
| Polynomials and partial fractions | 25 of 29 |
| Quadratic functions and inequalities | 22 of 29 |
| Integration | 21 of 29 |
| Coordinate geometry | 18 of 29 |
| Surds | 17 of 29 |
| Linear law | 16 of 29 |
| Coordinate geometry of circles | 15 of 29 |
| Binomial theorem | 15 of 29 |
| Applications of differentiation | 13 of 29 |

How to use A-Math papers well
- Show every line of workingSEAB's notes say that leaving out essential working loses marks, and A-Math method marks are where most partial credit sits.
- Learn what the formula list leaves outThe paper prints the quadratic formula, binomial expansion and trigonometric identities, but not the derivatives and integrals to recall. Our A-Math formula sheet sorts the two.
- Do Paper 1 and Paper 2 on different daysEach paper is 2 h 15 min. Sitting them apart, at full length, is closer to the real exam than one long session.
Questions about these papers
Are these A-Math papers still good practice for the 2027 SEC?
Yes. The final O-Level is in October and November 2026, and from 2027 Sec 4 students sit the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC). SEAB's 2027 G3 syllabus sets the same papers, marks and timings as the 2026 O-Level syllabus, so school papers set for the O-Level are close practice for G3. Check any topic you are unsure of against the current syllabus.
Do the A-Math papers come with answers?
29 of the 29 come with answers, as a separate PDF so the paper can be tried first. 27 of those are the school's own answer key, and the rest were typed by an unofficial source, which the paper's page says because we have not checked them.
Does the A-Math exam give a formula list?
Yes. The O-Level 4049 and SEC G3 K341 papers print a list of mathematical formulae, including the quadratic formula, the binomial expansion and the main trigonometric identities. Derivatives and integrals of standard functions are not printed, so they have to be learnt.
Are the papers free?
Yes. Enter your email and mobile once, and every paper on this site then downloads straight away on that device.
