Direct School Admission
Direct School Admission (DSA) is a Singapore admissions pathway that lets P6 / Sec 4 students apply to secondary schools / JCs based on talents (sports, arts, leadership, academic) before national-exam results are released.
In context
DSA-Sec admits up to 20% of the next year's Sec 1 cohort at participating schools. DSA-JC admits up to 20% of JC1. Students apply between May, June with a portfolio + auditions / trials / interviews; offers are confirmed before PSLE / O-Level results. A successful DSA reserves a school place subject to a minimum performance threshold (e.g. PSLE within a school's range).
