Satoshi Maeda

I graduated from the IB Diploma Programme with a final score of 41/45, achieving a 7 in both Mathematics AA HL and Physics HL — the two subjects I now tutor. Having gone through the IB curriculum myself, I understand exactly what it takes to excel: not just knowing the content, but mastering how IB questions are structured, how command terms like "evaluate" and "justify" are assessed, and how to manage time effectively across Paper 1, 2, and 3(for math). I'm currently studying at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), which keeps me close to the material and up to date with current exam trends.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong conceptual foundations first, then applying them through past-year paper practice under timed conditions. For Math AA HL, I emphasize breaking down calculus and algebra into intuitive steps rather than rote memorization. For Physics HL, I connect theory to real-world applications to make abstract concepts click. I'm patient, structured, and genuinely enjoy helping students go from confusion to confidence — because I remember exactly what that struggle felt like not long ago.
